Mangonada | Chamangos (Alcohol Optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Ripe Fresh Mango
  • 1/2 Cup Ice
  • 1 Cup Mango Sorbet
  • 1-2 tsp Lime Juice
  • 2-3 tbsp Chamoy
  • 2 tsp Tajin We Like TJs Chile and Lime Salt as a substitute
  • 1 Tamarind Candy Straw
  • 1/4 Cup Tequila / Rum Optional

Instructions
 

  • Blend together the Ice, Sorbet, Lime Juice and Fresh Mango. Reserve a small amount of mango for garnish.
  • Pour 1/3 of the blended mixture into the glass and add 1 tbsp of chamoy and 1 tsp of the Tajin
  • Repeat the last step to 2/3 full
  • Pour the remaining liquid into the glass and top with your Fresh Mango, remaining chamoy and add some more tajin to taste.
  • If you prefer a slurry-like consitency, place it in the freezer for 10-15 mins before serving
  • Optionally spike the mixture with your chosen alcohol and serve with a tamarind candy straw

Notes

This recipe is for a single glass of Mangonada (Chamangos), simply multiply the amounts by the number of people you are wanting to serve. 
It's always better to make a little more the first time incase your glasses are bigger than mine (or you can add extra tequila - I won't tell)
